Kelly Maguire has been active in process improvement, project management, and executive technology roles for just over 25 years. He is a graduate of the University of Texas, San Antonio with a Bachelor in Business Administration. He has an MBA from Baylor University. And he is a PMP and Six Sigma Certified Lean/DFSS Black Belt.
Kelly has been a successful executive in a number of large companies in a variety of unrelated industries such as property management, insurance, residential mortgage, hotel/resort, international security and manufacturing among others. He also taught Economics and Statistics at the University of Las Vegas, NV and has lectured in both the real estate industry, and residential mortgage business.
His professional focus is Process Excellence including change management, cost reduction, Document Management Systems, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Business Process Management (BPM). Kelly refers to this as a “target rich environment”. There appears to be a universal need for “less paper” if not true paperless operations. And this need exists across companies of all sizes and in all industries.
Furthermore, if a company does work, they have work flow. And surprisingly, many companies are working so hard, they don’t always have an opportunity to improve their process or their tools.
Working with Kelly is like renting a COO. He’s a proven change manager and this skill set is not industry specific. Kelly has built a career on leveraging the fundamental business principles that, much like the periodic table of elements, are durable and unchanging. You get the experience and the proven track record of a real innovator without the cost and complication of additional headcount.
While the competition may change, the product may change, the culture and leadership may change, there are some things that never really change. Such as:
- If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.
- Nothing can ever be improved without being changed.
- The time to prepare for a disaster is prior to the disaster.
- 95% of all corporate assets drive out the front gate and go home at night.
If you don’t feel absolutely confident that you posses internally the type of insight that will inspire you and your team, there’s nothing wrong with asking for help. Kelly is just insecure enough that he MUST feel helpful. Take advantage of that and let him help you move forward now.
